Build vs Ready made

Obrero construccionBuilding a home in Costa Rica can be a rewarding experience and a good investment too. But as in many other endeavors, help from an experienced local is crucial. Even if you are an experienced builder in your home country, you will need some help to adapt to the local materials, customs and regulations.

I have been helping clients build their homes in Costa Rica for nearly a decade. I am a registered Architect and have experience both in American methods and standards and in local ones.  You will find examples of my work in the Gallery section.

If you can afford the luxury of building a home rather than buying a ready made one, you will end up with a product that is exactly to your liking. And, except for mass-produced low-income housing, the total cost is usually lower or the same as a ready made home.
